Our Story

Lumières de Fleurs is a luxury home décor brand built around one idea: that the most beautiful things in your home should also be the most considered ones.

It was founded by Lusine — someone with fifteen years in fashion and a deep instinct for how things are made. The brand grew directly out of her travels through France, Italy, Croatia, Spain and Thailand — not as a business plan, but as a collection of discoveries. A string of lights at a Provençal market. A handcrafted flower in a Thai workshop. A Japanese paper leaf that burns for seven minutes and scents a room for three months. Things she wanted to bring home and couldn't find together anywhere else.

Everything in the collection is made from natural materials by hand. What makes it genuinely unusual is that almost every product serves two purposes. Nothing is decorative for decoration's sake — everything is beautiful, functional, and made by someone's hands from something that grew.

In short — it's what your home looks like when you've travelled somewhere extraordinary and brought the best of it back.

THE COLLECTION - HOW EACH PIECE IS MADE

DUAL PURPOSE - ARRANGEMENT OR DIFFUSER REED

MULBERRY PAPER

FLOWER BOTANICALS

Our paper flowers are handcrafted in Chiang Mai, Thailand, by a family atelier that has been making them from natural mulberry paper since 1991. Each petal is cut by hand, hand-dyed with non-toxic colour, textured with heat, and assembled petal by petal. The result is indistinguishable from the real thing — and unlike the real thing, it lasts forever.

Arranged into sculptural compositions in our Los Angeles studio, they live permanently in your home as art objects. They can also be placed in a diffuser vessel and used as reed replacements — the same mulberry paper that holds its shape also absorbs and releases fragrance beautifully.

SOLA WOOD

DIFFUSER FLOWERS

Sola wood comes from the roots of a plant that grows in the marshy fields of Thailand. Farmers harvest the roots, peel them into thin ribbons, and those ribbons become petals — soaked, shaped, dried and dyed entirely by hand. Each flower is a completely natural, biodegradable object.

Placed in a vessel with our fragrance oil, the sola flower draws the scent up through its fibres and releases it slowly into the room over weeks. The same piece that scents your home is also beautiful enough to display without any oil at all. Our diffuser collection pairs sola flowers with organic essential oil blends and premium fragrance compounds formulated without synthetic additives.

DUAL PURPOSE - STRING LIGHTS OR BOUQUET LAMP

RUBBER TREE LEAF

STRING LIGHTS

These begin as actual leaves from rubber trees growing in Thailand. Each leaf is carefully processed to remove everything except its vein structure — leaving a translucent, lace-like skeleton of extraordinary delicacy. A warm LED is then wired through each one, so what you hang in your room is essentially a glowing piece of nature. Every leaf is unique.

The lights were originally discovered at a market in the South of France — the design is French, the material is Thai, and the result belongs to both. Hang them as a cascade of warm light along a shelf or ceiling, or gather them into their bamboo woven vessel to create a sculptural bouquet lamp. Twenty lights. One cord. Two entirely different rooms.

DUAL PURPOSE - SOFT AMBIENT LIGHTING - PAIRS WITH PAPER ARRANGEMENTS

MULBERRY PAPER

STRING LIGHTS

The mulberry paper string lights share the same origin as our paper flower arrangements — natural mulberry paper, made by hand in Chiang Mai, Thailand, by artisans who have been working with this material since 1991. The same paper that holds the shape of a peony petal also carries warm light beautifully, diffusing it through its surface in a way no synthetic material can replicate.

Each light is individually crafted and wired with a warm LED. The effect is softer and more luminous than the skeleton leaf lights — closer to candlelight than to a lamp. Hang them along a window, drape them above a bed, or arrange them in a vessel. The same hands that made your paper flowers made these.

SOLA WOOD FLOWER

STRING LIGHTS

The sola wood flower string lights are the warmer, more luminous counterpart to the skeleton leaf lights. Each bloom is hand-shaped from natural sola wood — the same material as the diffuser flowers — and a warm LED is wired through the centre so the petals glow from within. The effect is extraordinary: what looks like a collection of ivory blooms becomes a cascade of living light when switched on.

Available in white peony, pink peony, and other seasonal varieties. Use them draped along a shelf, hung above a bed, coiled in a glass bowl, or gathered into the bamboo vessel as a bouquet lamp. Twenty blooms. Warm LED. Natural sola wood. The White Peony set ships in a kraft window box — the packaging alone is worth keeping.

ORGANIC ESSENTIAL OILS - PREMIUM FRAGRANCE COMPOUNDS

SCENT DIFFUSER

COLLECTION

Our diffuser collection pairs two types of natural flower reeds with fragrance oils formulated around organic essential oils wherever possible. Sola wood flowers and mulberry paper flowers both absorb and release scent slowly — the result is a gentler, more sustained fragrance than synthetic reeds offer, and a far more beautiful one.

The scent collection spans five families: floral, green and fresh, woody and warm, resinous and mysterious, and citrus and luminous. Each fragrance is formulated at 20–25% concentration — luxury strength — in a natural carrier base. Where a true essential oil exists (rose, jasmine, sandalwood, cedarwood, frankincense, bergamot) we use it. Where it doesn't (lilac, freesia, peony, gardenia) we use the finest fragrance compounds available.

HA KO PAPER

INCENSE

HA KO paper incense comes from Awaji Island — the birthplace of Japanese incense, responsible for 70% of Japan's production. It was developed over five years by Kunjudo, one of Japan's oldest incense makers, founded in 1893. Each piece is a leaf of washi paper infused with IFRA-compliant fragrance. It won the 2019 Good Design Award.

Light the tip, blow out the flame, and place the smouldering leaf on the ceramic dish. It burns for five to seven minutes, cleansing and scenting the air gently. Unlit, a single leaf functions as potpourri for up to three months — the fragrance releasing slowly whenever the air moves. Available in individual scents and in the Black collection: Relax, Focus, and Sleep.
