Just Because

$195.00

Not a special occasion. Not a reason. Just an armful of peonies and the feeling that someone deserves beautiful things today.

Just Because is the most gifted piece in the collection — and the easiest to give. No occasion required, no explanation needed. Seventeen stems of deep pink peony in every stage of bloom, from tight bud to full open flower, gathered and wrapped in white tissue with a blush satin ribbon. It arrives looking exactly as if it was just chosen for someone you love. Except it will never wilt. Each flower handcrafted by artisans in Thailand, arranged by hand in Los Angeles.

Create your own just because bouquet

A hand-tied bouquet is the most personal of all arrangements — there is no vessel to hide behind, no architecture to lean on. Just flowers and hands. The secret to a beautiful hand-tied bouquet is the spiral technique: every stem is added at the same diagonal angle, rotating the bouquet slightly with each addition. By the end, the stems form a natural spiral that holds the shape without wire or foam.

"A bouquet of peonies in different stages of bloom tells a story across a single handful of stems."

01

Start with One Open Bloom

Hold a single fully open peony in your non-dominant hand. This is your center. Everything else spirals around it. Choose your most beautiful bloom for this role — it sets the tone for the whole bouquet.

02

Add Stems at a Diagonal

Each new stem — whether peony, bud, or leaf — is added at a slight diagonal across the first. Rotate the bouquet a quarter turn after each addition. This spiral technique is what gives a hand-tied bouquet its natural, gathered shape.

03

Alternate Buds & Open Blooms

Never place two open peonies side by side. Alternate open blooms with tight buds — the contrast in scale and stage creates visual rhythm and makes each bloom read more clearly against its neighbors.

04

Tuck Leaves at the Collar

Green leaves belong at the outer edge of the bouquet, framing the flowers like a collar. Add them last, angled outward slightly so they cup the blooms from below. This is what makes a bouquet look finished.

05

Wrap & Tie

Secure the stems with a rubber band first, then wrap in white tissue — fold from one side, then the other, leaving the blooms fully visible at the top. Tie with ribbon at the point where you've been holding. Cut stems to an even length at the base.
